Xavier Harris Horizon High School Class of 2022
My introduction to this young man came right before the day kicked off. We were both getting ready for the start of the event and I asked him if he was going to have a great day and he responded with a simple “yes sir.” Xavier did not disappoint in the slightest. This young ball player is a show stoping, head turning, extremely talented guard who plays with a very high motor. If Xavier is not on your list of players to know, I highly suggest revamping that list.
Luke Williams DSST: Green Valley Ranch Class of 2022
A point scoring shooter who does not shy away from a challenge. That is the best way to describe Luke Williams. He can move the ball well and play strong defense, but what stood out to me the most about this young man was his ability to shoot from various spots on the court. In addition to his shooting ability, Williams is the type of player who possess a high basketball intellect.
Anthony Harris Jr. Smoky Hill Class of 2022
Since basketball and Hip-Hop tend to go hand-in-hand, it’s only fitting to say that Anthony produces nothing but bangers! Anytime he would have the ball in his hands on a break down the court, there was no shortage of cameras focused on him. I don’t remember there being a single court that had more cheers for dunks than whichever one young Harris Jr. was on. Add his high flying abilities with his non-stop motor and you end up with a no fly zone at the rim when he’s on defense. After watching him dominate his age group, it was no surprise that he was moved up in class of competition.
Aidan Kuhl Rocky Mountain Class of 2022
What made Aidan an immediate standout was his clutch deep shots. This young man was automatic from distance. In his first game of the event, he drained five consecutive three-pointers with ease. If this young man pulls up from the perimeter, expect for a clean net-whipping three-point drainer.
Dylan Sanders Smoky Hill Class of 2022
This young baller has an excitingly high paced motor that makes him a spectacle to watch whenever he is on the court. His ability to pull up and shoot with accuracy is very impressive. Sanders is the type of player who is able to mesh very well with different players on the court, making him a plug-and-play type of athlete.
Jaelyn Robinson Palmer High School Class of 2022
With some of the best defensive footwork on the court, it was no surprise that Jaelyn was an instant standout amongst his peers. With an advanced understanding of the game, he seems to have a tendency to be in the right place at the right time. I fully expect young Robinson to develop into one of the top players in the the state before his high school career is done with.
Antoni Smith Cheyenne Mountain Class of 2023
Antoni is one of those quite standouts. He’s the type of player who works hard, moves the ball well, and does all of the right things at the right time. This young man is the type who stands out by simply playing basketball methodically. The best way to describe him is as a supporting cast member who you can’t help but watch.
Wesley Fields Saint Michael High School Class of 2022
Wesley was the first player that I made sure to get his information after his first game. Whenever he was on the court, he seemed to be in full go mode that embodied his hard-working mentality on defense and offense. Wesley is one of those players who can score, defend, move the ball, and help control the pace whenever he is on the court.
Brock Wisne Horizon High School Class of 2022
After seeing him in person, it comes as no surprise that this young man is one of the top bigs in his class. He’s not just a player with dominating height, he’s also extremely athletic. Watching him own the rim was quite the sight, and I can’t wait to see how his high school season goes this year.
Jayson Lewis Smoky Hill High School Class of 2023
This young man is a high-flying all out baller. What made him standout the most to me is his ability to jump above the backboard. Measuring in under 6 feet, Jayson has one of the better show stopping dunking abilities out of majority of the athletes at the whole event. Saying that this young man is an entertainment on the court would be an understatement.
