Animu Mohammed 6’5″ Greenwood: The national top 20 recruit was as good as advertised last season when he transferred from Washington D.C. as he led Greenwood to the Class 2 state championship while averaging about 30 points and 20 rebounds in the process. He was just as dominant in the Nike EYBL when he averaged nearly 20 points and 10 rebounds in helping lead Boo Williams to the Final Four of the Nike Peach Jam. His combination of explosive athleticism, skill set and a high motor make him one of the best in the country in his class. Indiana, Maryland, Seton Hall are among the many schools on his trail.
Jordan Nesbitt 6’6″ St. Louis Christian: A Division I prospect who is a serious bucket from all three levels. He has the height and physical strength, which makes him a matchup problem for any defender. He enjoys having the ball in his hands where he can get to his spots to knock down mid-range jumpers and 3-pointers. He is also an explosive leaper around the basket with the dunks to show for it. He also has a strong low-post game against smaller defenders. Has offers from schools such as Iowa, Nebraska, Ole Miss, Saint Louis, Louisiana-Monroe and others.
Nicholas Kern 6’5″ Vashon: An all-around talent who can play all three perimeter positions and make positive plays from anywhere on the court. He is a natural scorer who can attack the basket, score on a variety of jumpers and get buckets in the low post with a nice turnaround jumper. During the summer, he displayed more facilitating ability as he set up teammates with his passing and got active on the defensive end with his length. He will be a key player on a loaded Vashon team that will play a national schedule.
Mario Fleming 6’3″ Cardinal Ritter: A bullish wing player who has done an excellent job of making the transition from being a post player as a freshman to being an all-around perimeter player as he enters his junior year. His physical strength enables him to simply overpower smaller players around the basket. He has improved his ball handling to the point where he can bully-ball his way to the basket on the drive and get to the free throw line. He has also developed a solid mid-range jumper.
Keyren Spiller 6’4″ Center: A physical wing player who provides matchup problems with his big body and ability to make plays with the basketball in his hands. He is built like a linebacker with good height to match, but he is very effective on the perimeter with his handles and ability to get to the basket off the bounce. He can facilitate offense with his court vision and ability to run the fast break and find open teammates. He is a threat to get a triple double with his all-around ability.
Cole Farrell 6’4″ Hazelwood Central: An explosive wing player who is one of the best dunkers in the Class of ’21. He has a quick first step to get to the basket to throw down a dunk in traffic. He picked up an early offer from SEMO during the summer. He has the size and length to be a lock-down defender. His perimeter shot is a work in progress, but he is at his best when he is attacking the basket and in transition.
Aaron Franklin 6’4″ Raytown: The athletic wing player had an excellent showing at the Midwest Basketball Showcase in Liberty in June. He has good size and a versatile skill set which is ideal for a big wing player. He moves well without the ball and can knock down open 3-pointers. He can put the ball on the floor and get buckets in traffic and he is also a very effective rebounder who can crash the offensive boards from the wing.
KJ Lee 6’6″ Fort Zumwalt North: A slender sharpshooter whose stock is really on the rise after an excellent summer with Brad Beal Elite. He has schools such as Michigan, Mizzou and Saint Louis U. coming to watch him work out. He is a plus perimeter shooter with range and a quick release. He has improved his ability to make plays off the dribble with added strength and improved ball handling. He is primed for a big junior season and beyond.
Najee Williams 6’3″ Blue Springs: An explosive wing player who really excels on the defensive end with his ability to get into the passing lanes and guard multiple positions and players of different sizes. He plays with a high motor at both ends and rebounds very well for his size. He is capable of making a lot of plays without having to have the ball in his hands. He received a Division I offer from Ohio University in June.
Chevalier Brenson 6’4″ CBC: Another athletic Swiss-Army-Knife performer who is a dynamic defensive player and rebounder. He guards multiple positions and blocks more than his share of shots for a player his size. He was a starter as a sophomore on CBC’s Class 5 state runner-up team. He is a very effective slasher on the offensive end who can finish at the rim or score on short jumpers or floaters. He is also very dangerous in the transition game. He is emerging as a high-level football prospect as a big wide receiver.
