MVP
Foster Mefford – 6’0 PG – Southwestern (Hanover)
Mefford dominated every aspect of the game in the time I saw him play. He scored extremely well from all three levels and made a strong case for the best passer in the camp. Few players throughout the day were able to have total control of the game and Mefford did it better than anyone. His ability to run in transition and find his teammates with several crafty moves and passes really stood out.
All Top 250 Team
Andrew Leeper – 6’5 – F – Homestead
Leeper was a force every time he touched the floor. He was able to get to the rim with ease and score at will. In every game he played, he was one of his teams top scorers. His athletic ability was on full display as he threw down several big dunks and had multiple blocks on the defensive end.
Trey Miller – 6’1- PG – New Castle
In the three times I saw Miller he really stood out to me. He scored the ball extremely well from all three levels and was a force in transition. Miller’s basketball IQ was on full display, moving without the ball and finding teammates for scores. Defensively, Miller played well and was an anchor for his team.
Braydon Flagg – 6’5- F – New Prairie
Flagg made his case for being the best shooter in the gym. His ability to create his own shot in a variety of ways was impressive. With his height and ability to get his shot off quickly, few defenders were able to stop him. In the fast break game Flagg was able to score well around the rim and draw defenders to get his teammates open.
Tae Davis – 6’5 – G/F – Lawrence Central
Davis looked like the best prospect on the floor in the two games I saw him. He scored extremely well on the drive and managed to knock down several nice jumpers. His ability to run the floor and finish makes him tough to stop in transition. On the defensive side Davis used his length to block several shots and create turnovers.
Adam O’Dell – 6’8 – F – South Bend St. Joseph’s
O’Dell was dominant in every aspect of the game. For someone O’Dell’s size he shot the ball really well and showed off an array of moves on the post up. His IQ really stood out as he made several great passes to teammates as he drew double teams in the paint. On the boards O’Dell used his size and frame extremely well to secure the ball and open up opportunities for his team to fast break.
Dillon Ware – 6’6 – F Danville
Ware was one of the most aggressive players in the camp. Every time the ball was up he was making his way to the glass trying to secure the rebound. His ability to finish in transition really stood out, along with his ability to score in the post. Ware’s athletic ability was one full display as he threw down several hard dunks and blocks.
Caeden Kaopuiki – 6’0 – G – Carmel
In the one game I saw Kaopuiki he was unstoppable. He knocked down six threes and managed to get his shot off quickly in many different ways. Few players throughout the day had the single game performance I saw from Kaopuiki. He was getting it done from all three levels and handled the ball well finding teammates in transition.
DJ Hughes – 6’7 – F – Lawrence North
Hughes was able to do it all throughout the day. He scored, rebounded, and found teammates for scores. Defensively Hughes showed off his rim protection skills blocking several shots and disrupting many others. Hughes did a great job of getting to the rim and running the floor in transition for scores.
