Arkansas Basketball Combine: 2022 Notes and Evals
JaKeiven Sanders (6’1 155 eStem)
Very intriguing combo guard. Did a nice job of handling the rock and had a few nice dimes. Uses his length well to finish around the rim. His jumper impressed the most. He can flat out fill it up from beyond the arc.
Courtion Crow (6’5 170 Arkadelphia)
High upside forward with a lot of potential that caused problems inside. Natural athlete. Quick-twitch moves allow him to blow right past paint defenders. Had a number of impressive spin moves with off hand finishes.
Kade Ruffner (6’3 140 Bentonville West)
Kade can absolutely shoot the lights out. He is automatic when left open, but can drill it off the bounce or stop and pop off a screen. Deep range. He was unconscious in the last game of round robin play, knocking down six triples in the span of just a few minutes.
Kendall Bishop (5’11 165 Dardanelle)
Another impressive shooter that impressed at the combine. Did a nice job in transition drills of finding open space on the perimeter for drive and kick opportunities. Range extends several feet beyond the three point line.
Cameron Wallace (6’5 180 Parkview)
One of the best in the building out of the Sophomore class. At a long, athletic 6’5 already he has the potential to grow into a match-up nightmare. He’s wired to score. Strong to the rim off the bounce. Crafty finisher. Strong mid-range shooter.
Darius Miller (5’11 165 Parkview)
Another talented Parkview guard that made his presence felt in multiple facets of the game. Loves to get out in transition and can score or assist. Has a nice jump-stop move that positions him well to finish. Very strong catch and shoot threat from three.
Micah Hill (6’2 150 Rogers Heritage)
Long, rangy guard that was one of the more efficient underclassmen in the gym. Not a lot of wasted dribbles or movement, allows him to get to the rack in a hurry. Shot it very well from three. Tough on ball defender.
Shamar Womack (6’1 170 eStem)
Shamar can really play. We learned the name on the PH Circuit and he continued to impress at the combine. When he gets in the paint good things happen. Slices and dices through defenses with ease. Poised on the attack and uses polished footwork to gain separation to finish in the lane.
Corey Washington (6’5 175 Sylvan Hills)
Bouncy, athletic wing that can play and defend 4 positions on the floor. Was a PH Circuit All-Region performer over the summer. Very strong on the boards and attacking the basket. Opened eyes with a high level step back jumper that showed off his full arsenal offensively.
Kel’el Ware (6’10 190 North Little Rock)
Kel’el has scary potential and if he continues to progress and add size to his frame he will be one of the states top prospects in the 2022 class. Plays above the rim, finishes dump offs and lobs with authority. Rim protector and rebounder. Jumper already looks pretty smooth, especially for his size.
