Fulcher is a tough wing that can guard multiple positions and really score it. After playing at Pickerington Central his first couple high school years, Fulcher took it to another level when he transferred to Lima Senior. Fulcher was a mid-major target for a number of schools, with BGSU getting final word.
This past week has been a big one for a number of players in Ohio. With that being said, let’s take a look at a few.
Breakdown:
Sonny Johnson (G / 2022 / Garfield Heights): Sonny Johnson picked up an offer from Coach Izzo and the Michigan State staff earlier in the week. This is a huge offer for Johnson, who will step into an even bigger role with the departure of Meechie to prep school. Johnson is currently 5-11, but is due for a growth spurt anytime that will help his already well rounded scoring game. Johnson works well with or without the ball, and has solidified himself as one of Ohio’s best in the 2022 class. Garfield Heights is producing another high-major talent. The MSU offer is one to keep an eye on for Sonny.
Shawn Phillips (C / 2022 / Dayton Belmont): Shawn Phillips won’t be just one of the prospects in Ohio in the 2022 class, but in the country. A top-50 level player national, Phillips is growing into himself. The 6-10 center picked up an offer from the SEC conference in the Auburn Tigers. Phillips dominated the Prep Hoops circuit this past grassroots season, and is in store for bright things in the future.
Sean Jones (PG / 2022 / Gahanna): In the 2022 class, Sean Jones is the top prospect from Central Ohio. Picking up and offer from Kentucky State this week, Jones has a few mid-major offers already. A player that has received some high major interest, that can absolutely go. Jones may be the quickest player in the state in the full court. Ball skills that create like no other.
Garner Wallace (WG / 2021 / Pickerington Central): Garner Wallace picked up an offer from Western Carolina, which marked his first division one offer. That number will likely go up, maybe even soon. The 2021 prospect is a two way threat that can take advantage of guards down low, as well as a face up game. At 6-5 Wallace defends, rebounds and does a little bit of everything. The Tiger will have a bigger role with Central this winter, as we will be able to further dissect his game. A good start to the wings offer list.
Other Recruitments:
Cole Fisher received an offer from West Georgia, which is a really solid D2 offer for the athletic guard.
Connor Stolly received an offer from Walsh.
Derek Eddings received an offer from Goshen College.
