On the 22nd, the Top 250 Expo will travel back to Virginia where it will take place at Riverbend High School. In anticipation of the upcoming expos in the area, we’re in the process of highlighting 30 prospects who benefited respectively from last year’s local showcases. Today, we take a look at 2020 guard Wade Jackson of St. Vincent Pallotti.
PRE-CAMP
Jackson played the duration of his sophomore year at Gonzaga on JV, where he was the team’s biggest standout on a consistent basis. He would go on to play very well during the spring with 16U District Basketball Club where he continued to stand out in events such as the Capital HoopFest and the Super Team Showcase.
DURING CAMP
We noticed that Jackson came into camp ready to play right from the jump. He asserted himself regularly and remained aggressive throughout the day. The improvements that Jackson had made in his game since the spring and summer were very evident. Jackson was one of the top performers at last year’s expo and looked poised for a true breakout season.
POST-CAMP
Jackson became a key contributor for Gonzaga’s varsity team during his junior year in which the Eagles captured the WCAC Championship. He would continue to win against high-level opponents during the following spring and summer with District Basketball Club. Jackson’s recruitment would then begin to expand. He’s being actively recruited by schools like Radford and Loyola (MD) at the moment. Jackson recently transferred to St. Vincent Pallotti and is now considered one of the best available guards in the area.
