On the 22nd, the Top 250 Expo will travel back to Virginia where it will take place at Riverbend High School. In anticipation of the upcoming expos in the area, we’re in the process of highlighting 30 prospects who benefited respectively from last year’s local showcases. Today, we take a look at 2021 guard James Gross Jr. of Rock Creek.
PRE-CAMP
Gross had built up a reputation as one of the most athletic players in the DMV at an early stage, and came off a standout grassroots campaign with DC Premier. He was invited to “The Workout” at IMG Academy by Under Armour and was tracking among the top prospects in his class locally.
DURING CAMP
It didn’t take long for Gross to demonstrate his high-flying capabilities. He played an aggressive brand of basketball throughout the day and played together with his teammates.

POST-CAMP
Gross became a key contributor for Rock Creek Christian and produced on both ends of the floor throughout the season. He has since received his first offer from Howard and this is just the beginning as we expect his recruitment to continue its expansion moving forward.
