On the 22nd, the Top 250 Expo will travel back to Virginia where it will take place at Riverbend High School. In anticipation of the upcoming expos in the area, we’re in the process of highlighting 30 prospects who benefited respectively from last year’s local showcases. Today, we take a look at 2021 guard David Brown III of Bishop McNamara.
PRE-CAMP
Brown had always been on the radar of the Prep Hoops Staff, but wasn’t really as highly regarded as he should have been prior to this event. He had some nice moments during the summer with Team Durant which was an indication that he was ready to perform at a high-level on a consistent basis moving forward.
DURING CAMP
Not long after the showcase had begun, Brown began to stand out. He was one of the most efficient and productive scorers at the event and played with a ton of confidence throughout the entire day.
McDonogh has a pair of intriguing ‘21 wing prospects in Jared Billups and David Brown. Both have made their mark today, and should continue to be tracked moving forward @PrepHoopsTop250

POST-CAMP
Brown would go on to have a breakout sophomore season at McDonogh where he led the team in scoring. His recruitment would begin to trend up as a result. In January, Brown received his first offer from Loyola (MD). He is now being actively recruited by a host of division one programs as he prepares for his junior season at McNamara.
