Garner Magnet HS 2022 Forward Asa White: The 6’8 forward is a D1 prospect without a doubt and should see his recruitment rise over the next year as he has plenty of the tools that colleges love. He’s a versatile player that can play some wing due to his ability to shoot and handle the ball at a high level. Understanding matchups he took advantage of the opportunities where he was he was matched up with smaller players by taking them to the post or pulling up and knocking down the shot.
Thales Academy 2022 Guard Nasir Bell: Another young prospect that has a nice amount of upside and will be one to keep an eye on. He has good height and wingspan for a player at the guard spot as well as the ability to knock down shots from midrange and deep. Didn’t seem to force plays and moved pretty well without the ball in his hands, while keeping his turnovers pretty low when the ball was in his hands to be a playmaker.
Southern Wake Academy 2022 Guard Isaiah Robertson: Young prospect that is still finding his way on the court, but seemed to get more comfortable as the day went on. We didn’t see much from him offensively but he mixed it up in the paint for some rebounds and played some solid defense without fouling.
Cannon School 2023 Guard Prashant Hill: Another young prospect that has a chance to be a special prospect and will be one to keep an eye on over the next few years. He plays the game at his own pace and does a nice job of picking his spots all while playing the game in a very unselfish manner. Slashing to the paint was what we saw the most from him and it was impressive to see the way he played through contact as the day went on.
Rocky Mount HS 2023 Wing Jamal Townsend: The upside that this young man has is clear and we are excited about what he can possibly be as time goes on. Offensively he is a gifted player that can score on all three levels, he reads defenders well and caused problems for defenders all day long. On the defensive side of the ball he has the tools to be an outstanding defender by using his lateral quickness and quick hands to lock down opponets.
