Overhills HS 2020 Guard Jase Ford: He’s a player that can flat out score the ball, even when the shot is not falling for him, he still attacks the basket and is able to draw fouls at a pretty high rate. His combination of scoring and ball handling caused problems for defenders throughout the day and we got the chance to see flashes of how good he can possibly be as this will most likely be his role for his high school team next season.
Trinity Christian 2022 Guard Cam Oates: It didn’t take much time for him to get going as he was one of the players that stood out in the very first game of the day. Don’t let his height fool you, he can play with and against players that are bigger than him due to the fact that he possess a nice amount of speed and toughness. He’s a player that we know will have a much larger role next season and he looks to be ready for that opportunity.
Wake Forest HS 2020 Guard Caleek Cobb: We like what he brings to the table on both ends of the floor as he brings a nice amount of effort and energy. On the offensive end he was aggressive and looked to put opponents on posters by using his athletic ability time and time again, which only helped to get his team going.
Mount Tabor HS 2020 Guard Shaylen Wooten: One of the better three point shooters that we saw on the day, he was pretty much automatic from three point land, especially in catch and shoot situations. He doesn’t need much time to get his shot off as he does a nice job of being in the shooting position before the ball comes and has good form on his shot.
Charlotte Catholic 2020 Wing David Pino: Another player that was an intriguing prospect and played solid throughout the day, he has solid size for a player at the wing spot at about 6’4. Combine his height with his natural feel for the game and you can see why he was productive throughout the day, he didn’t force plays and did a nice job of picking his spots.
Southern Middle 2023 Guard Jordan Vick: His potential to be a special prospect is very clear, he’s small in stature due to his age but the talent he displayed was very impressive. He quick and crafty, using his speed and outstanding ball handling skills to blow by defenders and force the defense to collapse. His shooting ability was on display as well as he is already knocking down shots from college three point range, he will be one to keep an eye on without a doubt.
