Eric Dailey – IMG Academy 2022: One of the marquee names throughout the Expo, Dailey showed why he belongs among some of the best young wings in the country. Eric’s really alert on D in the half-court. He ran away with a few steals after jumping passing gaps. On offense, Dailey can sink the deep trey, attack the rim for layups in-traffic, and slam it home off the alley-oop. Should become a force when it’s all said & done.
Tristian Gross – Calvary Christian 2023: This freshman is already playing as if he can become a key man for Calvary in his first year of high school. Gross is high-volume shooter who can fill it up from deep. His ball-handling skills improving by the day. He knows how to find the open man after driving through the lane. There’s a certain pace to his game one can appreciate.
Javohn Thomas – Sickles 2022: Thomas is another guy who is very patient when it comes to half-court offense. He’s constantly looking up, checking for cutters to the rim. He’s great at weaving the pass in-between defenders, resulting in some sweet dimes. From the midrange, Thomas can sink the floater, can also step out and hit the corner trey. Definitely like what his game is developing, into.
Mason Cruzado – Lake Minneola 2023: This 6’0” hooper brought plenty of energy to the floor every time he stepped on it. What really grabbed my attention was his commitment to the rebounding glass. Mason was never afraid to step up and pull down the rock. On defense, he has quick hands for the steal. In transition, Cruzado will make the right decision and dish it for a quick score.
Hayden Gicalone – Providence 2022: Gicalone’s effort did not go unnoticed, on Sunday. Gicalone’s speed has to get a hair quicker, but he’s capable of pushing the break the length of the court with his right, and finishing with his left. Gicalone’s another guard who does a great job of keeping his head on a swivel and setting up his teammates for jumpers.
