Some will be added since they were not in the state yet like mega stars Mike Foster and Keon Edwards from Hillcrest and Arthur Kaluma from Dream City Christian.
Here are 8 juniors that can rise up in the rankings:
Max Majerle SG/SF 6’3 Arcadia (Currently 12)
-Missed an entire year of basketball, so he is obviously a mystery. Will he come back even better or will it take him time to settle in. All indications are is that he is fully healthy seeing some of his posts on social media of him dunking the ball. Time will tell.
Kevin Kogbara SF 6’5 Peoria (Currently 18)
-Thick forward has all the talent in the world. He can pass, dribble and shoot plus has an incredible body. He can bully his way to the basket and has deep range. If he can stay consistent, he will jump up quickly.
Jeffrey Goodere C 6’9 Estrella Foothills (Currently 36)
-Face-up big man just seems to keep growing! Reportedly close to 6’10 now and isn’t done. Last time I saw him he was above 6’7 maybe 6’8 at best. Size usually trumps all and if he does get that tall plus he can already shoot it, don’t be surprised he jumps up over 10 spots or so.
Zach Morgan C 6’9 Pueblo (Currently 43)
-Once again, size trumps all. Last time I saw him play he was near 6’6 and according to the HS staff, he is easily 6’9 if not taller. He is very long and has skill from the perimeter. I’m excited to see him play this HS season.
Wyatt Bell SG 6’2 Paradise Honors (Currently 62)
-Another player who missed a full year of hoops. He has reportedly come back looking great. He is shooting the cover off the ball and received his 1st offer from Air Force. I am looking forward to watching him during the HS season.
Thomas Hastings PG 5’10 Basha (Currently 79)/Austin Hutchings PG 5’11 Perry (Currently 84)
-I clumped these two together since they are both taking the reins at good 6A schools and both have that professional attitude. They both want to set the pace and facilitate for their team first then score it. They can shoot it and have huge IQ’s for the game. They are true late bloomers who are blossoming.
Monta Tyler Jr PG 5’11 Casa Grande (N/A)
-This scoring lead guard was never seen. He will not only enter the rankings for the first time but possibly could be a Top-75-Top-50 type of player. He is a dynamic scorer and he is now on my radar.
(December 16th I will attend Pueblo at Casa Grande to see where Morgan and Tyler Jr stand.)
