We will look at the Most Outstanding Player at the Top 250 from the junior class. We will also look at 8 Honorable Mentions that had great performances as well.
* If you aren’t on the list, it doesn’t mean you didn’t have a great day. Watching hundreds of players makes it impossible to see everyone’s best moments.
Most Outstanding Player
Bennie Crenshaw (5’11”, PG, Waterford Kettering)
Crenshaw was just different on Sunday. He had that look in his eyes, like a laser focus. Crenshaw was a point guard extraordinaire. He was efficient with the dribble, moved the ball, and found teammates in scoring positions. Crenshaw could create his own looks at the basket, or draw the defense and dish.
Honorable Mention
Logan Carson (6’8″, PF, Buchanan)
I was thoroughly impressed with Carson at the Top 250. He dominated the glass, both offensively and defensively. Carson ran the floor very well for a big and finished when he had the opportunity.
Trinidad Chambliss (6’0″, PG, Forest Hills Northern)
Chambliss made it look easy on Sunday. He was able to control the game offensively, seeming to pick and choose the best times to get buckets. Chambliss was able to play at any pace as well.
Brandon Hunt (6’8″, F, Williamston)
Honestly, I have no idea what his stat line would look like from Sunday. But I know if I was a college coach, he’d have an offer. Hunt’s size nd versatility make him a must see prospect.
Blake Lund (6’1″, CG, Linden)
Lund was his typical self at the Top 250, and that is one of the best players in the state. He contributes in every way, whether it be defensive stops, a key assist, or a big basket. Lund in a consistent and constant contributor.
Jayden Nunn (6’3″, SG, Flint Carman Ainsworth)
Nunn may have been the best pure athlete at the event. He’s just bigger, faster, and stronger. Nunn was a big time bucket getter, always picking up big points when his team needed some momentum. D1 coaches will want to take a look.
Kentrell Pullian (5’10”, G, Benton Harbor)
Pullian was lights out on Sunday! This young man thrives in the open floor. He can put the ball on the ground, attack the rim, and get buckets. Pullian is going to do damage this high school season with Benton Harbor.
Bryan Tyler (5’8″, PG, Romulus)
Remember his name, trust me. He’s a magician with the ball and a 1 man press break. Tyler reminds me of ex EMU star Earl Boykins. Better yet, Tyler is always the first man back on defense.
David Wilkerson (6’1″, G, East Lansing)
A coach recently told me that our ranking of Wilkerson was off. He was right. The young man had coaches raving about him at the Top 250. Wilkerson is primed for a big high school season.
