We will look at the Most Outstanding Player at the Top 250 from the senior class. We will also look at 6 Honorable Mentions that had great performances as well.
* If you aren’t on the list, it doesn’t mean you didn’t have a great day. Watching hundreds of players makes it impossible to see everyone’s best moments.
Most Outstanding Player
Jamoni Jones (6’0″, PG, East Kentwood)
Jones is an elite talent and a next level player. From his play on Sunday, Division 1 coaches need to come out and see him in action. Jones could handle the ball at will and made it impossible for the defense to pressure the ball. He spaced the floor and moved the ball efficiently. Jones was a 3 level scorer and could draw the defense and dish to a cutting teammate.
Honorable Mention
Justus Clark (5’11”, PG, North Farmington)
Clark is a smooth lead guard. He very rarely turned the ball over and kept his teammates involved at all times. Clark was a high IQ player at the Top 250.
Ryan Corner (6’11”, PF, Allendale)
Corner continues to impress. I think there’s D1 potential in his game. He attacked the glass all day, rabbing boards at will. Corner has a nice jumper and scored facing the basket.
Noah Pruitt (5’9″, PG, Okemos)
Even on a loaded team, Pruitt stood out. We all know that he’s an elite point guard. But what really impressed me on Sunday was his ability to put the ball in teammates hands, play off the ball, and be a scorer.
Michael Robinson (6’5″, F, Ann Arbor Huron)
Robinson is the type of player that coaches love. He was active and attentive in the huddle, and made appropriate in game adjustments. Robinson is a versatile athlete that can play and defend multiple positions.
Jacob Tomsich (6’0″, CG, H.H. Dow)
Tomsich has an evolving game. He’s always been a shooter and scorer, and he did that at the Top 250. He’s added ball skills and defense to his repertoire.
Lorenzo Wright (5’10”, PG, Belleville)
Wright just keeps getting better. He was a true floor general, attacking the rim and dishing to an open shooter. Wright showed the ability to finish at the rim and play high level pressure defense.
