Jayhden Moncrease – Spruce Creek 2021: Hadn’t seen Jayhden play in about two months, but one could tell that the on-court intensity had grown even stronger. He was able to fill it up at the rim and hit a couple from beyond the arc, but the DOG in him really showed itself. The charges taken, the steals made on the baseline, the tough rebounds off the glass—Jayhden made his mark.
Malcolm Kelly – Okeechobee 2020: This 5’11” guard was a burst of energy and really made his presence, felt. Kelly is extremely quick on defense and doesn’t ever get beat off-the-dribble. Loved his awareness, and his ability to be a great passer/assister, in-transition. Very vocal on defense. One can tell he has leadership qualities laced in his blood.
Craig Starks – Miami Beach Senior 2021: Standing tall at 6’7”, the junior served as a force within the paint. Literally no one could stop him from grabbing the offensive board and finishing strong at the rim. He also has some solid handles for a big man. On a few occasions, he’d take the defensive rebound and go the length of the court for the finish.
Jovan Kojic – Canterbury 2020: Another giant amongst the Top 250 playing field, the 6’8” Kojic proved to be a guy that can do a bit of everything. On offense, he shot the ball very well, hitting his mid-range jumpers and some three-balls. Although, he lived in the paint. Loved his patience on the fast break when he had the ball, made some timely assists. On D, he defended the drive and protected the rim. Kojic also muscled a few guys to come down with the rebound.
Chase Garrett – Canterbury 2021: This 6’4” wing has a lot of promise over his next two high school seasons. His ball-handling grabbed attention, really did a great job of being able to weave in and out of traffic & get to the cup. His layup package is deep, was really impressed with his ability to avoid challengers at the rim and finish with a sweet reverse lay. Keep an eye out.
