Prep Hoops has a national reach that can’t be topped. The Top 250 has college coaches attending, but just as importantly, our phones will be ringing off the hook from more coaches looking for insight from the event. The event is a perfect venue for players from the class of 2022 to send a message, both locally and nationally.
There are many high quality players in Michigan that we’d like to see at the Prep Hoops Top 250. We have been looking at some examples of players that we want to see at the event. Below, you will find some examples of players we would like to see there. As you read, think about these things: Would I like to test myself against players like this? Max Burton (6’3″, SF, Williamston)
Burton is a wing that coaches and scouts will want to see at the Top 250. He has the skill set needed to be a highly touted prospect.
Mike DePillo (6’5″, F, Clarkston)
DePillo is an explosive forward. He runs the floor well and is a strong finisher on the wing in transition.
Mason Docks (5’10”, PG, Williamston)
Docks is a 2 way player. He’s a ballhawk on defense and plays quick, but under control, on offense.
Ethan Dunn (6’10”, C, East Lansing)
Dunn is an elite post player in the class of 2022. He has great footwork in the paint and keeps the ball high.
Genessis Kemp (6’5″, F, Grand Rapids Catholic Central)
Kemp had a huge grassroots season. He played against tough competition and still stood out.
Treyvon Lewis (6’4″, G/F, Ferndale)
Lewis is a smooth yet explosive athlete on the wing. College coaches will want to see him play and get in early on his recruitment.
Orlando Lovejoy (PG, Romulus Summit Academy)
Lovejoy is an elite point guard talent. He’s an aggressive facilitator that can bury a triple if you drop a step back.
Juwan Maxey (6’0″, G, Detroit Renaissance)
Maxey is a must see prospect. Coaches and scouts at the Top 250 will want to see how efficient of a scorer he is.
Chris Mutebi (6’3″, SF, UD Jesuit)
Mutebi will draw the eye of college coaches. He’s an athlete with a high IQ, always making the right play.
Chris Smith (6’5″, PF, Saginaw Arthur Hill)
Smith is one of the strongest and most physical post players in the class of 2022. He will battle and bang for boards.
