This year was no different, as several prospects helped themselves by performing well at the event in front of media and scouts. Here is a brief look at five of the best athletes we saw at the camp.
NOAH BATCHELOR | 6’5 SF | GLENELG COUNTRY (MD) ’22
Batchelor showcased his athleticism on both ends of the floor throughout the camp. He ran the floor with purpose and finished above the rim in transition on numerous occasions. On the defensive side, Batchelor was a consistent threat to block shots and did a nice job on the boards.
RJ BLAKNEY | 6’5 F | LOOMIS CHAFFEE (CT) ’20
It didn’t take long for Blakney to show why he is an elite athlete. He is so good at shooting the gaps on defense with his quick first step and instincts for the ball. Blakney also had some high-flying finishes at the rim.
EMANUEL HENRIQUES | 6’4 G | BEN FRANKLIN (MD) ’20
One thing that really stood out about Henriques was his athleticism. At 6-foot-4, he’s capable of catching a lob pass and dunk it with authority.
JAYDEN PIERRE | 6’1 G | PATRICK SCHOOL (NJ) ’22
Pierre might not look the part initially, but after watching him for a few minutes you will realize he’s got some intriguing physical tools and sneaky athleticism. He’s got long arms and plays with good pace. Pierre loves to get out and run in transition where he’s capable of converting with the best.
DAESHON SHEPHERD | 6’5 SF | ARCHBISHOP WOOD (PA) ’21
Shepherd was easily one of the most impressive leapers on the gym on Saturday. Throw it at the rim anywhere near him and he’ll gladly catch and flush it with grace.
