With so many schools featuring talent that can play in the next level , we will probably only skim the surface of places that college coaches will want to drop in and see players
71st HS: They won’t be a place that you will want to go and see older talent but they have a young prospect in 2023 Forward/Center Derrick Green. He has the size for sure and already has shown the skillset during his time with CP3 and in middle school.
Pine Forest: Another program that has lost quite a bit of older talent but has some young talent to keep an eye on. 2020 Guard Marquise Eskew is one of the lone upper classmen for this group but def is a prospect . 2022 Guard Tristan Harkins is a sharp shooter from downtown but also has displayed some ability to make plays off the dribble. 2023 Guard Isaiah Washington has a chance to be very special , he’s skilled and will only get better as time goes on and his motor increases.
Westover HS: If you’re a college coach , then you already know that this is a place that you must stop every year. This year is no different as they have players in mutiple classes that can play on the next level. 2020 Forward Traymond Willis-Shaw is the name you already know as he has mutiple D1 offers. 2020 Guard Isaiah Bridges is also a player that D2 programs have been a showing some interest in at the PG spot. 2021 Guard Darius Jewell is a prospect that continues to raise his stock , he is a knock down shooter that plays the game with a chip on his shoulder.
Jack Britt HS: They feature a mixture of young and older talent with 2020 6’4 Guard Langston Davis being the main attraction at this point. He has good height for a Guard to go along with his wingspan , which helps him to be a pretty impressive defender. 2022 Forward Demetri Patterson is one to keep an eye on as well, he has good hands , solid footwork and a soft touch to go along with his 6’6 height.
Terry Sanford HS: They will be looking to bounce back this season although they will look much different than last season. 2020 Forward Yates Johnson is back and should have a standout year showing his ability to score and rebound. 2020 Forward Kyron Kelly has some of the tools that should attract college coaches attention. At 6’6 with long arms and nice athletic ability he is a player that can help provide rebounds and energy plays. 2022 Forward Davis Molnar put the state on notice this summer with some stellar play with Team Wall. He can shoot the ball from deep but also bang and bruise inside of the paint.
