Quincy McGriff – Santa Monica

With a huge summer playing for Cali Stars, Quincy McGriff’s college list is down to Fresno State, UTEP, Missouri State, UTSA, Saint Mary’s, and Utah State. With the transfer of scoring guard TJ Wainwright to Westchester High School, McGriff will carry the load for SamoHi. McGriff is an excellent ball-handler and versatile guard. McGriff has one of the quickest and smoothest releases in all of high school basketball. He’s a deadly threat from outside who can hit shots in a flurry. Quincy can also create for himself and attack the rim as well. The 3 star guard should see his rankings jump up sooner than later. Expect a huge year from McGriff.
Brase Dottin – Harvard Westlake

Brase Dottin is a huge candidate to break out for his senior year. With Johnny Juzang at Kentucky, Harvard Westlake will have a void at the wing position. The team still features Mason Hooks and Spencer Hubbard who are also seniors but Dottin’s long term potential makes him a definite target to keep an eye on. Brase had a huge summer as he played with both BTI and Cali Rebels. Dottin has potential to be a high level scorer. Some of his big performances this summer include a 27 pt and 7 rebound game against the Las Vegas Knicks, and a 31 point explosion vs Youball. Brase possesses all the tools: outside shooting, athleticism, and the ability to put the ball on the floor. Keep an eye out on Brase Dottin as his numbers will explode his senior year.
Jabari Steward – Compton
With the graduation of Dennis Johnson and 4 other seniors, Jabari Steward will be heavily leaned on to lead the Compton squad in the 2029-2020 season. Steward had a huge offseason playing for I Can All Stars. He participated in many showcases including Pangos Premier 80, and looks to build on his progression. Steward is a big man who is a consistent threat to score in the post. Jabari’s soft hands and good footwork make him a target on the block. He
grabs a ton of boards and is also on the cusp of developing a midrange jumper. Steward currently holds an offer from North Carolina A&T and should receive many more as the season goes on.
Ky-mani Pollard – Westchester
The departures of Jordan Brinson and KJ Allen leave room for someone to take over the team. Kymani Pollard will be a senior and be thrust into the leadership role. Pollard and the Comets surprised many when they defeated Rancho Christian in the first round of CIF Open Playoffs, and looks to keep the momentum going. Pollard is a combo guard who has the potential to heat up from three at any given moment. He’s also an athletic slasher who can get to the rim. On the opposite side of the ball, Pollard has excellent lateral quickness and has the ability to guard both positions. Westchester will once again contest for the City Section title with Pollard expected to have a huge senior campaign.
