Holly Springs: 2020 forward Kaleb Scott
Holly Springs went 12-0 in the South Wake Athletic Conference during the regular season. UVA signee Kadin Shedrick carried most of the load in the frontcourt alongside 2020 forward Kaleb Scott. Scott will take over as No. 1 option this upcoming season although 2021 Dante Kiesenhofer is another big man expected to contribute mightily in the rotation.
Apex Friendship: 2020 forward Nick Farrar
Nick Farrar burst onto the recruiting scene late into the 2018-19 season for Apex Friendship. He posted 35 points and 20 rebounds against Heritage High School in the second round of the state tournament and hasn’t looked back since. He’s earned a number of high-major offers including an offer from the NC State Wolfpack recently. He committed to the Wolfpack on Wednesday afternoon.
The 6-foot-6 forward continues to develop and showcase his abilities on all three levels. Apex Friendship will be a tough team to beat this upcoming season.
Garner Magnet: 2020 guard Chris Nobles
Garner Magnet School has some young talent in its wheelhouse with rising sophomore forward Asa White, but the emergence of 6-foot-6 wing Chris Nobles will be something to keep an eye on as well. Nobles hasn’t gotten many looks just yet but HBCUs in the area will want to get eyes on him soon. He can knock it down from deep as well as play above the rim with flare.
Middle Creek: 2021 guard Tharius Suggs
2021 guard Tharius Suggs makes the game look easy when he’s on the floor and he’s one prospect who should gain a lot of attention during the 2019-20 season at Middle Creek. The 6-foot-3 guard averaged 15.3 points, 5.4 assists, 4.5 rebounds and 3.3 steals per contest as a sophomore in 2018-19. He’s got tremendous upside and talent around him with Sam Perez, Cooper Land and Logan Wheeler all entering their junior year.
Apex: 2022 guard Zane Cogdell
There’s a new sheriff in town with head coach Ryan Rodgers and he’s already shown a bit of his own prowess with developing the likes of Zane Cogdell and others on his current roster. Cogdell has had a busy summer playing with Apex High School as well as Strong Center on the AAU circuit. He plays above his age level and should have a strong season for Apex in 2019-20.
