On Thursday, the second edition of the 2022 Florida rankings were officially updated and revealed with 49 additions to the list to bring the total of players to 190. The 2022 watch list was first released last August with 74 prospects.
The top three remains the same with 6’6″ guard/forward Greg Glenn (Calvary Christian) coming in at No. 1, followed by 6’6″ guard Jarace Walker (IMG) and 6’7″ forward Caleb Houstan (Montverde).

Here is a look at some new faces to watch as well as the biggest risers.
Eric Dailey Jr. (IMG)
Jumping up from No. 11 to No. 5, 2022 6’7″ IMG forward Eric Dailey Jr. is really starting to make some noise. A seasoned shooter and high IQ and long point guard, he has earned offers from UF, Texas A&M and Florida A&M this summer. Dailey Jr. is just hitting the peak of his abilities and will be a surefire high major Division I player.
Dillon Mitchell (Sickles)
Joining the list after not playing basketball at Alonso last season, 2022 6’7″ Sickles forward Dillon Mitchell has had a big summer with E1T1 15U and is now ranked at No. 12 after being unranked. He picked up offers from UF, USF and SMU and is well on his way to being a top player in the state and a big name in the Tampa area. His length is undeniable and his jumper is coming along quickly.
Fray Dieud Nguimbi (West Oaks)
USF and Southeastern Louisiana represent the pair of offers for 2022 6’7″ West Oaks forward Fray Dieud Nguimbi. He made the jump from No. 27 to No. 15 in the updated rankings. I love Nguimbi’s upside and instincts. His ballhandling is reliable at times and his aggressiveness is something college coaches will love.
Ernest Udeh (Dr. Phillips)
USF offered following its Elite Camp on Saturday and the progression from 2022 6’8″ Dr. Phillips forward Ernest Udeh has been steady. He is ranked No. 17 overall after being unranked and very raw at his school. He turned heads with Team Parsons CP25 and has gained confidence as a post presence. He will improve as a shooter and add muscle and his upside is already flashing as a core defender.
AJ Brown (Orlando Christian Prep)
A high flyer and a really strong and quick-twitch guard 2022 6’3″ Orlando Christian Prep guard AJ Brown has moved up from No. 47 to No. 20. He has an offer from USF and I expect him to earn a handful this season and next summer as he continues to gain confidence and learn the ins and outs of offenses. Brown is packed with athleticness.
Brice Sensabaugh (Lake Highland Prep)
Making the hop from No. 68 to No. 21, 2022 6’3″ Lake Highland Prep guard Brice Sensabaugh (transfer from Hagerty) is in good hands at his new stomping grounds. Earning an offer from SMU this summer playing with E1T1, the 3-point shot is seasoned for him and his ballhandling and drive ability is there. He needs to add muscle and bring more energy consistently on defense, but Sensabaugh is doing plenty already.
Aidan Abell (Westminster)
Perhaps one of the biggest jumps up is from 2022 6’5″ Westminster guard Aidan Abell (transfer from Coral Springs). He went from No. 85 to No. 37 and has no offers yet but interest from Davidson, Clemson, Eastern Kentucky, Northeastern, Loyola of Chicago, FAU and FGCU, he told me in a story on Aug. 22. Abell is a determined point man and reliable 3-point shooter.
Jeremiah Russell (Forest)
A first time ranker, 2022 6’5″ forward Jeremiah Russell is a player to keep a close eye on. He is currently placed at No. 68 overall. He needs to add muscle and develop a more reliable mid-range jumper, but is a long and bouncy athlete who will earn plenty of playing time this fall.
