Georgia High School basketball will begin fall league play later this month and through September with practice officially beginning in October. The Norcross High School Blue Devils, who are coached by Jesse McMillan, have received some much great news yesterday.
Top ranked prospect, JT Thor, will transfer into Norcross after playing his junior season at powerhouse Huntington Prep (WV) last year. Thor, a 6-foot-8 plus wing, will reclassify back to the 2020 class and this will be his senior year season. He holds offers from a plethora of high major programs like Kansas, Louisville, Kentucky, UCLA, Arizona, Clemson, Connecticut, Florida, and more.
Losing key prospects like Brandon Boston Jr. and Caleb Murphy really hurt the Norcross roster for next season, but in the last couple of months they have added two front line prospects in Josh Taylor, out of Greensboro Day (NC), and now JT Thor. The Blue Devils in the last three years are a combined 76-19 overall record with two class 7A championship appearances and one class 7A final four appearance.
With the addition of Mr. Thor to this Norcross roster, I now believe this is the possible favorite to win Georgia’s class 7A state title. The Blue Devils will once again play a national schedule during the 2019-2020 campaign with one stop being the Les Schwab Inviational in December out in Oregon. Question is now, are the Blue Devils done revamping their roster for the upcoming season?
