This 15 is comprised of players/teams that played in multiple Prep Hoops events resulting in them being the best from the Dakotas from the Prep Hoops Circuit.
Kobe BuschThe 17U All-Dakota First Team
Kobe Busch of South Dakota Attack (Huron). What I Will Remember? The way that Kobe confidently stroked the basketball from every angle on the floor with high percentage results.
Matthew Mors of South Dakota Attack (Yukon). What I Will Remember? How Mors asked for Dawson Garcia in June, went at Dawson in June, and outplayed 5-star Dawson Garcia in that game in June.
Akoi Akoi of South Dakota Attack (Sioux Falls O’Gorman). What I Will Remember? How Akoi played in April, and how he played in July with Mors and Busch at a camp. Akoi needed to be a go to guy and he handled that well.
Jack Cartwright of South Dakota Attack (Sioux Falls O’Gorman). What I Will Remember? Jack’s game has taken such massive steps forward. Makes the decisions and efficient plays of a combo guard.
Teegan Evers of Midwest Magic (Huron). What I Will Remember? The way Teegan scored on all three levels of play in showings in April, May, and June. Evers is a much more versatile scorer than given credit for.
Talon HofferThe 17U All-Dakota Second Team
Talon Hoffer of Inspired Athletics (Fargo Shanley). What I Will Remember? The combination of size and skill at the guard spot scoring consistent points against good teams.
Alex Van Kalsbeek of South Dakota Attack (MOC-Floyd Valley, IA). What I Will Remember? How the big man moved off the ball to get to space to score from deep consistently all spring.
Sam Fawcett of BBA Force (SF Lincoln). What I Will Remember? A player that went from a solid junior to a guy that looks like he can produce at a first team all state level next year.
Josh Arlt of South Dakota Attack (Lennox). What I Will Remember? How Josh sacrificed good shots so his team could have great shots consistently, and then took advantage of his chances when his time to shoot was there.
Nathan Boehrns of Midwest Magic (Huron). What I Will Remember? Thinking that Nathan has the ability to give Huron a third player that can score in bunches, and that defenses are going to have a nightmare with it.
Mason Steele
The 17U All-Dakota Third Team
Mason Steele of BBA Force (Rapid City Stevens). What I Will Remember? How Mason moved past some frustrations in the Omaha event, played better in the following game, and then played really well in Madison.
Zion Dettmann of Inspired Athletics (West Fargo Sheyenne). What I Will Remember? Zion’s shooting touch using a dribble to shake defender one and score before defender two.
Cayden Rickard of Inspired Athletics (Fargo North). What I Will Remember? Watching Cayden play and then shortly after getting a message that he earned a scholarship.
Kesean Ladd of South Dakota Network (SF Lincoln). What I Will Remember? A pull-up jumper after a dribble that Wisconsin Rap – the Hard Work Region champions with a line-up of D1 and D2 guys – could not move to get a hand in front of.
Kayden Verley of South Dakota Attack (Canton). What I Will Remember? How twice it was Verley who put games away either at the foul line or with the right pass in the halfcourt set.
