Most know the top-tier players like Kyree Walker and Dalen Terry but here are some under the radar players who saw their stock go up at least 10 spots in the rankings that will come out later this month.
Juhlawnei Stone PF/C 6’7 Dobson
-Stone showed college coaches he can demand attention in the paint and rebound at a high level plus dunk the ball and block shots. His body and athleticism are impressive and he ended committing to Cal Baptist Univ.
Paul Hayden SF 6’5 Sunnyslope
-Hayden looked good Section-7 garnering many D1 coaches attention. He has a stronger frame, showed some athleticism and shot the ball well.
Isaiah Floyd SG 6’3 Eduprize
-Uber athletic guard has slowly improved his jump shot. He will always be a terror on the break and defend multiple positions.
Anthony Irvin SG 6’3 Corona del Sol
-Irvin is turning into one of the better shooters in the state. His range is unlimited and improved his body and defense.
Jackson Risi SG 6’1 Valley Christian
-Another long range shooter who has improved in all aspects. His shot is arguably the best in the state off the catch.
Paul Maldonado CG 6’0 Gilbert
-Savvy combo guard is tough and fearless. The lefty can shoot it plus handles it well.
Tyson Legner SG/CG 6’2 Rancho Solano Prep
-Strong guard will be responsible for more of a lead guard role this year and he looked good this summer doing it. He can shoot plus is a tough defender.
Devon Brooke SF 6’7 American Leadership-Academy-Queen Creek
-A unique forward who handles it, shoots 3’s and makes others better. A true play-making forward.
Dyson Lighthall C 6’8 American Leadership Academy-Queen Creek
-He got bigger, better and more skilled. He extended his range out to the 3pt line and
Zeke Thompkins SF 6’6 Apollo
A long defensive minded player who can guard the 1-4 on any switches. Gets downhill quickly and is a good passer.
