Atin Wright & Kyree Walker (Cali Stars)
The combination of 2020 pair Atin Wright and Kyree Walker was lethal in a win over Team Parsons 17U. Wright, a 6’0″ guard from Fairmont Prep scored 31 points in the game and was hitting on all cylinders. He can drive with ease and his handles are seasoned. He told me has offers from UC Irvine, Long Beach State, Santa Barbara and Cal State Northridge. As for Walker, the 25th ranked Prep Hoops player in the 2020 class, he had a cool 15 points with some key shots and really smart passes on the break. Oregon and Kansas represent the latest offers for the 6’5″ Hillcrest Prep guard.
Isaiah Adams & Kario Oquendo (Team Parsons)
In the loss to Cali Stars, the duo of Isaiah Adams and Kario Oquendo was awfully fun to watch. Adams, a 6’7″ forward at Paxon had 22 points and a strong second half performance after battling through foul trouble. Oquendo, a 6’6″ guard was attacking at will midway through the first half and didn’t look back, scoring 18 of his team-best 31 points in the second half alone. Both players are loaded with upside and can score in a variety of ways.
Ven Allen Lubin & Alex Fudge (Team Parsons)
In an afternoon victory over the Las Vegas Punishers, the Team Parsons 16U (playing up in 17U) saw Ven Allen-Lubin and Alex Fudge combine for 39 points. Lubin, a 2022 6’6″ forward from Orlando Christian Prep recorded 20 points. He is already very fundamental and his court awareness is keen as he takes smart shots and doesn’t risk much. As for Fudge (19 points), the 2021 6’6″ forward from Lee is always looking to attack the rim. He has a fluid floater game with his long arms as a true advantage.
Brandon Huntley-Hatfield (B Maze Elite)
Offered by Wake Forest and Baylor late last month, 2022 6’8″ IMG forward Brandon Huntley-Hatfield was sound all around in a victory over Team Parsons 16U. For B Maze Elite, he was shooting the ball well, making the right reads as a passer and getting up and down the floor. Huntley-Hatfield is just hitting the peak of his total upside and we saw that with his 17-point outing tonight.
Alan Cedeno (Team Parsons SWFL)
There was a lot of work done by 2021 5’11” Canterbury guard Alan Cedeno in a win over Hardwork Dedication. The junior had a team-high 20 points, hitting from deep and getting inside. Cedeno is a quick decision maker and can move the ball anywhere on the floor with his IQ and confidence. Look for him to continue to get better as he gets stronger and fills out. He has the ball on a string.
