Over the last couple of months, we’ve done our best to keep you updated with the latest happenings from around the region. In this series, we’ve been taking a look at some more recent transfers and what they will mean for both the player and the new team.
PHILLIP CARTER | 6’5 F | WOODROW WILSON ’20
Carter is coming off a productive summer and should figure into the Tigers front-court immediately. He has good size and versatility which will help him fill multiple roles from day one.
AVERY FORD | 6’6 F | CENTREVILLE ’21
Ford becomes the second prospect in the last two years to transfer from PVI to Centreville, with the other being Chris Kuzemka. These two are good friends and should immediately develop into one of the most dynamic duos in Northern Virginia. Ford could end up being one of the most feared defenders in the entire state, a productive rebounder, and a consistent lob threat.
MICHAEL HENDERSON | 5’6 PG | TC WILLIAMS ’22
The Titans continue to load up, and the addition of Michael Henderson should not be overlooked. The high IQ lead guard prospect is super quick and will add depth to what should be a talented backcourt.
XZAVIER LONG | 6’5 F | MIDDLEBURG ’21
Long is a hidden gem in the local 2021 class and he will be a key piece for Middleburg moving forward. He has a very intriguing physical profile to go along with budding skills which should only continue to improve over time.
AMIR NESBITT | 6’0 G | MILLER SCHOOL ’20
Nesbitt is one of the best available guards in the state and a high-level shot-maker who should thrive at Miller School. He will benefit from living on campus and being able to work closely with his coaches as he prepares for college.
