Everyone plays two games and then goes into bracket play where there is a 24 second shot clock ran in the championship game. Here are five prospects that stood out at the event.
Ma’Syn Howell 6’0 PG • 2023 • Legacy School of Sports Science
Was getting buckets the entire day. Continues to play at a high level with consistency. You name it he did it on the court, and not just offensively but defensively too. Will be interesting to continue to watch this prospect over the years to come.
Chris Johnson 6’3 SG • 2023 • Fort Bend Elkins HS
Was out here making the freshman class look like little boys as he bodied his way into the paint. Fatigue set in over the course of the day. Finished at a high rate around the rim. Knocked down some tough mid-range jumpers.
Jaydon Nunn 5’9 PG • 2023 • Cypress Springs HS
Shooting well and playing heads up basketball. Solid on-ball defender. Showed off his athleticism as he blocked multiple shots. One time he blocked three straight shots in a row on the same possession. Got to the cup and knocked down some long balls.
Santana Solano 6’2 WG • 2023 • Fort Bend Hightower HS
Plays hard with a great motor. You can tell this prospect has been playing in the post a lot. Although he has a decent post game his handle on the ball was good as well as his outside shots. One dribble from the wing and he was at the basket.
Paul Dual 6’3 SF • 2023 • St Thomas Catholic HS
Smooth game with a nice handle on the ball. Good read and reaction. Good deceleration on moves. Plus he blocks everything at the rim. Makes all the right cuts without the ball in his hands. His play will be an immediate factor on the Varsity level.
