Everyone plays two games and then goes into bracket play where there is a 24 second shot clock ran in the championship game. Here are five prospects that stood out at the event.
Chase Kain 6’6 PF • 2023 • Shadow Creek HS
This prospect was a Defensive Specialist. Rim protector with good wing span. Runs the lanes well in transition. Keeps his back to the basket at all times. He was big time on the offensive glass. Very intriguing prospect.
Tyler Smith 6’7 PF • 2023 • Westbury Christian HS
Made the game look effortlessly at times. Showing why he is the current number 1 prospect in the Greater Houston area for his class. He really began to pour it on when it was game elimination time. He was a walking bucket. And finished everything at the rim and in the lane with floaters and pull-up jumpers.
Marcus Millender 5’10 PG • 2023 • Clear Brook HS
Marcus was a pit bull on the court. Was in straight dawg mode giving opposing ball handlers the blues. Super high motor with quickness and speed. Dropping dimes left and right on the court.
Orlando Horton Jr 5’6 PG • 2023 • Clear Falls HS
Shifty point who was creating left and right. First step game is crazy quick and allows him to dictate the offense. Great motor and had his floater game going.
Jaylon Jackson 5’6 PG • 2023 • Summer Creek HS
Quick point with nice handle on the ball. Good Offensive IQ. He was able to find his teammates with tight threading passes and collapsing the defense. Has a nice outside jumper as well.
