Everyone plays two games and then goes into bracket play where there is a 24 second shot clock ran in the championship game. Here are five prospects that stood out at the event.
Shawn Jones Jr 6’5 SF • 2022 • Alvin Shadow Creek HS PHTX25
Shawn was on a mission from the jump. His mission was to prove he is the best prospect in the class. He was the best prospect in the building for sure. He dominated in every aspect of the game. He dunked on people. Was blocking shots left and right. Showcased his mid-range and deep ball game. Got to the cup whenever he wanted. Had quick lateral movement and guarded everyone from the quick points to the bigs on the court. He showed why he’s a top prospect in Houston and in the State of Texas.
Jacory Chatman 6’2 G • 2022 • Fort Bend Hightower HS
Mr. Chatman was a bucket the entire event. He was cooking all night long and was a problem for opposing defenders as he had his way and gave everyone a bucket. Smooth offensive player with a great release point on his shot and deceptive moves with the rock in his hands.
Trey Miller 6’0 PG • 2022 • Concordia Lutheran HS
Trey has really improved his ability to control the flow offensively as a facilitator. Had some nice off-look passes and was solid as a scorer. Plays with a great motor and came away with multiple steals. Good lateral movement was able to make opponents to pick up their dribble.
Austin Benigni 5’10 PG • 2022 • The Woodlands Christian Academy
Austin had a really big summer for P.B. Nation on the Adidas Gauntlet. He had the ball on a string at the ROW and was dropping dimes. His ability to change speed and change direction without missing a beat is a beneficial tool as he kept defenders on their heels.
Mac Macaul 5’6 PG • 2022 • John Cooper HS
Quick Guard with a strap and reads well in pick and roll situations. Has a mean handle on the ball with good elevation on his jumper. Was impressed with how he handled being pressured by some of the bigger players. He still controlled the game with them on him.
