As a nationally ranked prospect, there is no doubt that the list of offers to play college basketball are going to grow throughout your high school career. Caleb Furst’s list had contained multiple elite programs in the Big Ten Conference as well as a few outside of the B1G with California, Butler, Stanford, Marquette, and Louisville. After his second summer playing with the 17U Indy Heat team on the EYBL Circuit and an invite to the USA Basketball Team Camp, Caleb’s list is getting longer, and in a newer conference.
New Offers
Just this week, Furst received an offer from Head Coach Mike Brey from Notre Dame followed by an offer from the University of Virginia. These are the second and third schools to offer Caleb from the ACC (Louisville) and could open a flood gates for another round of offers to come across the rising forwards list from the Atlantic Coast Conference.
Existing Recruitment
With Purdue, Northwestern, Ohio State, Indiana, Maryland, Michigan State, Butler, Stanford, and Louisville (ACC) already offering Furst opportunities to pursue and education and play with their programs, there is no doubt that the highly-talented big will continue to see his list grow.
The Big Ten Conference has been on first since his freshman year at Blackhawk Christian and that momentum has carried him into the national spotlight.
As of now, Caleb is not leaning anywhere early in his recruiting process and is staying open and honest throughout. He is enjoying the opportunity to meet different coaches and understand what their programs have to offer.
Caleb Furst is the #1 ranked prospect in the Prep Hoops Indiana Class of 2021 and the #25 Nationally ranked prospect in the Prep Hoops Network Class of 2021 rankings. His game revolves around his ability to be effective with his opportunities around the basket with his mobility and length. His frame is developed and getting stronger which is helping him finish over and through contact. Furst’s athleticism and second-leap ability have been two major improvements in his game over the last few years.
