One of those that is, oddly enough, going under-the-radar is Heritage Hills (IN) forward Blake Sisley.
The 6’8 power forward is coming off a successful season with UA Grind 2021 and now looks to cash in on his play. He already holds a trio of offers from Evansville, IUPUI, and Southern Indiana. They are just a few of a the pack of schools taking a long look at the versatile scoring threat. He’s taken a bunch of visits already but will head to Incarnate Word later this Fall for an official visit.
This will be the second visit this Fall following a trip to nearby Southern Illinois. He’s a great fit for the Missouri Valley or Ohio Valley Conferences but has enough talent to draw in those high-major programs down the road.
Part of his appeal is his skill and versatility. He’s very effective as a faced-up forward who can make plays with his handles and ability to get out in transition. It’s much more advanced than his post game right now but that is an area that won’t be far behind. He’s also going to shoot well from deep and stretch that floor out so teams that want to run and spread should see him as a massive asset.
He’s gotten enough exposure that his play this Winter should be seen by plenty. Heritage Hills (IN) is setup to have a great year and not only do they have a tough schedule but they also play in the Hall of Fame which will give him a little more shine throughout the state.
Last year, Blake averaged 12.8 points and 7.6 rebounds per game for Heritage Hills. He is joined by Evansville baseball commit Simon Scherry and senior standout Murray Becher. That trio in 3A will be very difficult and the expectations are sky high.
