Jamison Guerra (2020 Sherwood HS) – Guerra might have had the best showing out of any of the Class of 2020 guards. The 5-foot-10 senior was solid at the point and was constantly looking to get others involved. He made good decisions in transition and while he wasn’t able to connect from the perimeter, he used his strength effectively to score inside. Guerra also played tough physical defense.
Jesse White (2020 Barlow HS) – It was a bit different for White as with Guerra on his team, he largely played off of the ball. The 6-foot guard had a couple of catch-and-shoot opportunities but his shot really wasn’t falling in the two games we watched. As a result he did take the ball to the hoop and got some buckets closer in, a number of which in transition.
Micah Garrett (2020 West Linn HS) – Garrett kind of blended in with the team he was placed on. The 6-foot-3 wing hit a couple of jumpers and took it strong to the lane but he actually didn’t get that many touches in the action that we watched.
Mason Lomax (2020 Sprague HS) – Lomax was another guard that didn’t get a lot of touches in the game we watched. But the 6-foot-2 combo guard was active in transition and finished well near the basket.
Tai Warner (2020 Grant HS) – A key thing with Warner is his willingness to share the ball and that was the main thing we saw out of the 6-foot guard as he didn’t just look for his own. That didn’t take away from his ability to knock down the long three ball though, of which he hit a couple.
Deray Seamster (2020 Central Catholic HS) – Seamster is best in transition and that’s where he stood out the most in the action of his that we witnessed. The 6-foot-2 guard used his length and athleticism to get to the hoop and convert.
Jack Chlumak (2020 Lake Oswego HS) – Chlumak didn’t necessarily stand out in any one phase of the game but he blended in well with his teammates. Of most note was the fact in one game he was matched defensively against 7-foot-3 Jasper Reinalda and he really tried hard to be physical with the big man despite the height disparity.
