At 6’3, Wisdom is a high basketball IQ player who can handle the ball and has an old school mid-range game as he is capable of pulling up off the bounce. He sees the floor well and makes smart, on-time passes and is able to find the open man.
He has spent the offseason running with the Primetime Ballerz and says the experience has helped him prepare for the upcoming season.
“My summer team this season had its ups and downs, overall I think we played good,” he says. “Summer has helped me realize that I need to be a more consistent as a scorer.”
Wisdom says he has spent much of the offseason working on extending his shooting range.
“Since I started to play high school basketball, my coaches have said that I need to work on my 3-point shot,” he says. “This summer I got as many shots up as I could to get that shot as good as it could be.”
One year after graduating nine seniors in 2018, Wisdom says the 2018-19 team at Free State exceeded expectations.
“Everyone expected my High School team to be bad when we lost nine seniors after the last season,” Wisdom said. “We had a good season even though we we a very young team. We surprised almost everyone when we made it to the State Tournament.”
Wisdom says his dad has had the biggest impact on his basketball career to date.
“Since I told him I wanted to play basketball seriously, he’s been working extra hard to find good teams, coaches, and he reaches out to colleges for me,” Wisdom says. “He has been taking me to my tournaments since I was in the 4th grade. He’s been their since the beginning and I would not be where I am without him.”
A fan of Chris Paul, Wisdom says he appreciates the way the Oklahoma State point guard plays the game.
“I like watching Chris Paul play because he’s such a smart basketball player and almost always makes the right decision,” he says. “Paul showed me that patients is everything in basketball.”
