Hamahrie Bowers (The Work Foundation 16U)
Bowers is one of the more intriguing prospects on this list. The Hillcrest 2021 small forward has a long and angular frame. Multi positional defender checking spots across the board using his length to get in passing lanes. Offensively he has a burst off the bounce getting to the rim. Plays well as a transition finisher.
Aaron McQueen (Illinois Jaguars 16U)
This Lane Tech power forward showed well all spring and summer anchoring for his Illinois Jaguars team. Tough and rugged power forward that is a junk yard dog. He gets the most out of his ability as a gritty rebounder and scorer. Spin moves on the block and scores from 10 feet in.
Garrett Greene (All-In Athletics 17U)
Greene is actually a 2021 prospect that was playing up on the 17U level. In Madison he more than held his own with the way he shot the basketball. At 6’3” he has a frame he should be able to continue to grow. He displayed a feathery touch on his jump shot. Knocked down an array of pull up jump shots from all over the court.
Casey Nsamba (Illinois Badgers 17U)
This Winnebago 2020 wing burst on the scene with a strong weekend in Madison for the Illinois Badgers! He stands at 6’5” with freak athleticism. The bouncy wing is a very good perimeter defender that offensively is best slashing to the rim and with a burst in transition. Rebounds well for a wing.
Scott Lanier (The Work Foundation 17U)
Lanier has a very “prospecty” look with his super long arms and thin build. Definitely needs to add strength, but like the range this two guard brings to the table. Sneaky athlete that can really shoot it from three. Plus defender that covers a lot of ground.
CJ Nwosu (Full Package 17U)
This Von Steuben 2020 wing brought it on both ends of the floor. Defensively he locked down on the perimeter and had an impressive block where he pinned it against the back board. Strong slasher that is effective using his quickness on the interior. Jumped into the top 100 with a strong showing on the PHC.
Luke Rekasius (Full Package 17U)
Another Full Package kid that was effective. This 6’6” power forward high pointed rebounds in traffic. Has some face up skill being able to put it on the deck including one from the high-post he took past his man for a finish with his off hand.
Michael Rheinten (ET21 Buckeyes 16U)
The Downers Grove South lefty post is a solid rebounder that brings mobility to the table on the offensive end of the floor.
Brandon Malone (Hoops4Health 17U)
Malone can really shoot the basketball! This combo guard lit it up for Hoops4Health with his ability to create his own shots on pull up threes, mid-range shots, and jumpers off the catch. Malone really helped himself with the way he played from start to finish for Hoops4Health.
Keon Killins (Illinois Attack 17U)
Plainfield East has been known for their wings over the years, but look out for this 2020 point guard this upcoming season. Despite his team trailing by a large amount most of the game he never let up and competed on every possession. The competitive guard can shoot it from three drilling pull up triples at a high rate.
Demetrius King (Illinois Attack 17U)
King is another guard from Attack that at 5’10” controls the ball well and can shoot it from three when given a clean look.
Daniel Reed (All-In Athletics 16U)
The Marist point guard showed he could really put the ball in the basket with a consistent mid-range jumper.
Jabari Hill (All-In Athletics 16U)
Hill complimented Reed well with what he did on the interior. He is an undersized four man that plays with a high motor. Physical player that rebounds well in his area. Showed his athleticism.
Brandon Burns (Fundamental U 16U)
Burns is a 6’2” two guard that in the game we saw was the go to scorer for Fundamental U. He was a confident shooter whether it was a one dribble pull up or a corner three off the catch.
Josca Schabacker (Fundamental U 16U)
Schabacker is another Fundamental U wing that put himself on the map. Plus shooter from three with a clean looking shot.
Jackson Gitterle (Sharks Basketball Academy 16U)
Gitterle came out of nowhere with a strong performance against the Illinois T-Wolves at Hard Work Live. The St. Patrick 2020 shooting guard is a tough wing that competes on the defensive end using a lot of energy on that side of the court. More than just a defender he is a capable shooter and an overall scrappy player.
Caleb Corro (Sharks Basketball Academy 16U)
Corro is a pass first point guard at 6’0”. He is a lead guard that can really dish the rock. Threw several slick dimes with crisp passes.
J Brewer (Illinois Future 16U)
Brewer is a lengthy point guard that plays bigger than his height because of his long arms. Puts pressure on the ball defensively and loves to make plays in transition as a scorer.
Stanley Adams (The Work Foundation 16U)
Adams is a 6’6” Corliss post that rebounds really well, protects the rim, and had a couple of MONSTER JAMS!
Lashawn Glover (The Work Foundation 16U)
The first minute I walked over to see The Work Foundation this Orr point guard netted three quick steals that he either converted or dished off for assists. The lefty also has a decent looking three point shot.
