9 strong teams played 4 games each. 2 in pool play and then 2 in bracket play. Just Us/PHH defeated a tough 2023 Elite team in an exciting finish. Blue Chip Elite and GGB made it to the Final-4.
Here are some more of the top players from the tourney that shined: (All incoming freshman)
Chris Ruiz SG 6’0 Kellis (2023 Elite)
-Skilled shooter with a high IQ. He is very competitive and just knows how to play. When he is rolling he is hard to stop.
Ben Egbo F 6’3 Perry (Legion of Hoops)
-Uber athletic forward who rebounds well. He runs the floor well and can defend multiple positions.
Darayvion “Ray” Greer PG 5’7 Tolleson (AZ Swish)
-Stud on-ball defender and has a super tight handle. He can shoot it with range plus get into the lane. (Pictured)
Jamaal Dean PG 5’9 Ironwood (AZ Swish)
-Strong pure PG can get downhill and handles pressure well. He can make others better and uses his body and mind to succeed.
Leonard Romayor PG 5’5 Brophy Prep (Legion of Hoops)
-He had one of the highest IQ’s at the tourney and can shoot it. He is confident with the ball and doesn’t turn the ball over despite his size.
Ashton Reese SF 6’2 Pinnacle (GGB)
-Smart player is a catch and shoot type. He has a quicker release and can put the ball on the ground a little bit too.
