Zane Burke – 6’2 SG 2021 – Blackhawk Christian (IN)
Zane was the third person in a trio of stellar talents last year for Blackhawk that went on to win a 1A State Title. Frankie Davidson is now gone and Zane will be in a bigger role and looked at to be the biggest scoring threat on the wing. He played so well this summer he picked up an offer from local Saint Francis (IN). With his size and developing dribble-drive game, he’s poised to breakout this year.
Khamani Smith – 6’4 SF 2021 – Fort Wayne Northrop (IN)
Khamani had some flashes of his high-level skill this summer and coming back to Northrop, he looks to be the guy on the wing that will be given a little more freedom. Northrop will need some help in the post to replace Sydney Curry so it wouldn’t surprise to see him being moved all over the place. His skill set allows him to do that and it could help to bring out the best in him.
Johnny Brunk – 6’3 SG 2021 – Roncalli (IN)
Johnny is getting a lot better pretty quickly here. He’s developed his ball handling quite a bit since his freshman year and that seems to be giving him more confidence. Seeing him take big steps this summer brings hope that after Roncalli graduated most of their team from last year, he could step up and be that calming presence for a very young team this year.
Aidan Booher – 6’4 SF 2021 – Plainfield (IN)
Booher has slowly been taking his game up a level and now with Plainfield’s setup on their roster, he should be in line to be the guy and main scoring presence in his third season. His size and shooting ability plays really well on most teams and if he can get more touches with the twins now graduated, his numbers should spike up this time around.
Chris Mantis – 6’6 SF 2021 – Lowell (IN)
Mantis has been really good for a minute but at Lowell he might not be getting the shine he should. But in his junior season, he should be developed enough to see his number play a little more. He is such a balanced player but if those scoring numbers move up, this could be a big year for him on a team that is still trying to improve a ton.
