Quimari Peterson – 6’0 PG 2021 – Gary West (IN)
Gary West is loading up on talent as of late and now if they can lock in on some leadership this year with starting point guard Quimari Peterson, they should be in line for a great year. He’s gotten some attention this summer for his play with Meanstreets and it wouldn’t shock to see someone pull the trigger sooner rather than later. His body have filled out and he’s physically ready to be the guy.
Nick Flesher – 5’11 PG 2021 – Andrean (IN)
After winning a State Championship last year, Nick should be ready to step up into the key role on the ball. He’s secure, sound with his passing skills and capable scorer when they will need it. With the loss of John Carrothers, the flow of this offense will start with Nick and coming off a summer where we saw him be a little better of an all-around scorer, he looks poised to push Andrean back for another run at a title.
Sean Black – 5’10 PG 2021 – Warren Central (IN)
Warren Central is in full rebuild mode after losing their core group of talent as seniors and their head coach. However, Sean will give them a guy with some experience and a ton of talent. He’s going to give them some speed, finishing ability and defensive effort. What he has around him will still need to be determined but this is a start in the backcourt and this program usually has depth.
Blake Barker – 6’0 PG 2021 – Columbus North (IN)
Blake is one of the toughest guards you will find in the state and this summer was a little bit of a breakout for him as he showed he can put up points like crazy. Had a really good shooting effort this summer and was draining a ton of threes. Now, with Columbus North, he will be the main attraction and have the ball in his hands a ton. Transitioning that high of an offensive game into the high school season will be fun to watch.
Jake Heidbreder – 6’3 SG 2021 – Floyd Central (IN)
The loss of Cobie Barnes will hurt Floyd Central but in multiple games last year, you could see just how potent and talented, now junior, Jake Heidbreder could be. He’s a guy that will give them a balanced on and off-ball skill set that will really play with more shots at his disposal. His role will be expanded but he did prove himself last year as the second-best player behind Barnes. Now, he has two years for himself to shine.
