Northwood Temple 2022 Jaquantae Harris: One of the top younger players in the state, Harris put together some nice seasons at Hoke County and will now take his talents to the private school league. This will be a great opportunity for him to show his ability against some of the better guards in the state and we expect him to do very well. Northwood loses their star guards in Nickelberry and Harvey but the addition of Harris helps as he can fill it up scoring wise.
Moravian Prep 2020 Shakeel Moore: The amount of talent that Moravian Prep has been able to add has been simply impressive this offseason, but the scary part is that they continue to add almost daily, with Moore being one of the latest. He’s a freakish athlete with the ability to break down defenders without much of an issue. His recruitment has taken a nice rise over the past year with schools such as: Pitt, Cincy, Ole Miss and NC State all extending offers to him.
Trinity Christian 2022 Jamari Mcdougald: He battled some injuries last season but his talent is clear, he’s a player with plenty of potential and the ability to score at a nice rate. TCS lost a huge amount of scoring last season as well as perimeter shooting and he brings both of those to the table. He will be teaming up with his Team Loaded teammate Cam Oates as they will look to make some noise as one of the younger teams in the NCISAA.
Word of God 2021 Jalen McDonald: WOGCA is rebuilding and he’s the second piece that they picked up recently, the other is top 2020 Forward Isaiah Todd. What we like about McDonald is probably one of the first things you notice about him, he’s active and athletic which allows him to make plays on a regular basis. You don’t have to necessarily run plays for him due to the fact of how well he crashes the boards for put back offensively, or grabbing the defensive rebound and pushing the ball out himself to get his team into transition.
Grace Christian 2020 Phil Martin Jr: Grace Christian lost the majority of their contributors from last season due to graduation and transfer. So the addition of Martin was huge for them as he can step in and provide some much needed scoring for the team. He’s an outstanding shooter from deep and is looking to get to the paint more often than previous years.
Washington County 2020 Guard Rashod Smith: Any time that you add a guard that has put up the type of numbers that he has, you have to be excited about the possibilities. Smith is a double/double type of PG that put together some 20+ point/10+ assist performances throughout the season on his way to averaging 27 Points and 7 assist on the year. When you combine his talent with a group that made it to the regional championship game last season in the state tournament, then you have a team that has a chance to do some major things.
