We aren’t expected much of a learning curve as far chemistry building. Check out our breakdown of Brown and Fields.
Kaleb Brown- Big bodied point guard. Ideal positional size. Crafty handle. Knows how to use his body and get into gaps. Very good vision and passing ability. Very good poise. Good transition playmaker. Can knock down spot up shots. At his best attacking the paint and getting to the rim. Can defend multiple positions. Not an explosive athlete.
Defending Brown: The best way to defend Brown is to limit his playmaking. Brown gets his teammates open looks and opportunities. You have to take that away. Make Brown prove he can make shots consistently off the bounce. Try matching up an athlete against the point guard.
Taye Fields- Long deceptively athletic 6’4 combo guard. Has different finishing moves. Crafty handle. Very good attacking out of pivots. Comfortable making shots off the bounce or spotting up. Can score at all 3 levels. Solid playmaker off the bounce. Understands change of pace and positioning. Good vision. Can guard multiple positions.
Defending Fields- Do not crowd Fields. He is very good at attacking gaps out of the pivot/triple threat. Stunt defenders once he attacks the paint. Play him straight up. Do not give him leverage. Make Fields hit jumpers. Do not allow him to slash without consequences. Be physical with him going to the rim.
