2022 Nayshin Waller – Trail Blazers
Nayshin Waller is a gamer with the basketball in his hands. Waller produced 10.0 points per game in their opening games. He did well to get to the rim whenever he wants and controlled the tempo for the Trail Blazers in Week 1.
2021 Dylan Wiggins – Clippers
Dylan Wiggins showed off quite the streak for the Clippers, complementing their offense in a close victory. He scored 14 of his 16 points in the second half against the Suns, getting to the rim when needed.
2023 Sam Martin – Clippers
Big man Sam Martin showed off an inside presence with his size in Week 1. Martin posted 14 points in their final game of the week against the Suns. He rebounded and made plays with his underrated passing ability for the Clippers as they went 2-0.
2021 B.J. Keith – Hornets
B.J. Keith was a consummate floor general for the Hornets this past week. He’s got a quick first step that allows him to get to the rim and finish in the paint. With his quickness, he’s a prospect to watch at the point guard position.
2021 Justin Bell – Hornets
Justin Bell was another combo guard that made plays for the Hornet. He’s an underrated athlete that can play above the rim and knock it down from behind the arc. As he learns to be more aggressive, he’s due for a breakout season.
2023 Houston Wills – Spurs
Houston Wills was a solid wing prospect for the Spurs. Wills showed flashes of his skill set with an impressive set of drives and jump shots. He put up 14 points in their first game with two made 3-pointers. He’s got nice size and abilities off the wing.
2022 Jaylan Bowen – Spurs
Jaylan Bowen is a pure point guard prospect that’s not the biggest player on the floor but he makes up for it with his ability to score and make plays for others. He went off for 29 points against the Celtics in a 76-74 victory.
2021 Landon Nall – Spurs
Landon Nall is an emerging big man prospect that has nice hands in the post and is a solid rebounder. Nall put up 16 points in their close win over the Celtics, showing off his prowess around the rim. He’s a rising junior to keep an eye on.
2021 Quaevon Anderson – Celtics
Quaevon Anderson plays with a relentless motor on both ends of the floor. He’s got sneaky bounce for his size at 6-foot-1 and is quite the shot blocker when the ball touches the paint. He led the way for his squad although they had just five players in Week 1.
