2022 Point Guard Justin Monden, Cavaliers
The Cavaliers were missing a few players in Week 3 which only meant 2022 guard Justin Monden had to step up. Monden put up an easy 30 points in a 72-60 win over the Wizards, showing solid command on all three levels. He made 3-pointers, got to the free-throw line and got to the basket a solid number of times despite his small size.
2022 Forward Anthony Thorpe, Cavaliers
Anthony Thorpe has a nice feel on the defensive end for rebounds and blocking shots. He put up 20 points in their final victory of the day against the Wizards, crashing the glass and getting easy putbacks. He showed solid command in the post and was a nonstop scorer and stopper in the paint.
2023 Guard Will Otto, Heat
Coming into Week 3, Will Otto was averaging 21.3 points per game while scoring 22 points in his final game of Week 2. He nearly kept his 20+ point streak alive with a game of 24 points against the Suns in an 86-82 victory but he posted just 15 points in their 82-80 overtime loss against the Clippers. Otto still made seven 3-pointers across their two games though.
2022 Guard Evan Ashe, Celtics
Evan Ashe and the Celtics lost their second game of the day to the Warrior 80-75, but he put up big numbers in their win over the Trail Blazers early in the day. He posted 21 points, making three 3-pointers and showed off an array of skills getting to the rim. Ashe has the ability to finish strong at the rim and when he’s dialed in, he’s quite the shooter.
2021 Forward Dante Kiesenhofer, Lakers
2021 forward Dante Kiesenhofer made things look easy in Week 3 as the Lakers won their two games in Week 3. He put up 24 points, owning the paint against the Wizards in an 80-58 win. While he made nine field goals inside the arc, he did make two 3-pointers as well. He’s a player that’s slowly figuring things out on the floor and rebounding a lot more.
2023 Guard D’dric Rogers, Clippers
The Clippers got big games from 2022 guard Dakota Gordon and 2022 forward Dylan Wiggins, but one player who was hard to ignore was 2023 guard D’dric Rogers. Rogers picked up a game-sealing steal down the stretch for his Clippers squad against the Heat to keep them unbeaten in league play. He put up 12 of his 19 points in the second half of their overtime win.
