To some the class may feel top heavy, but the majority of these prospects are going to shine at the D2, D3, and NAIA levels. Lets take a look at some prospects outside the top 40 that could have great careers at the next level.
Mikey McIntosh (Muscle Shoals)- McIntosh is a very intriguing prospect. The 6’6 forward can play both the 3 and the 4. He is a solid athlete who can score inside/out. McIntosh has improved as an on ball defender and is an underrated rebounder. Look for this kid to have a big season and move up the rankings.
Nolan Dean (Mortimer Jordan)- Coaches searching for perimeter length and shooting should be in contact with Dean. This kid is 6’4 and a very good shooter. Mechanically, his shot looks great, and he gets off shots quickly. Dean can be a disruptive defender with his length, and his overall improvements offensively have taken him from a specialist to an offensive threat.
Dane Harding (Albertville)- Harding is another perimeter player with size and shooting ability. This kid is 6’6 and was a very good player for Pro One Select this summer. Harding plays with a high IQ and just makes the right plays. Coaches would like to see his ball skill improve, but with his shooting ability and IQ… Harding will be sought after.
Zack Littleton (Thompson)- Littleton is a 6’1 guard that plays with a high IQ and can score the ball. This kid plays very well without the ball, and he can make shots off the move or on the spot up. Littleton has improved as a defender and ball handler. NAIA, D2, and D3 programs should track him this season.
Sawyer Wright (Deshler)- Wright is a 6’8 post that is very coachable. He is not the best athlete and he is raw offensively, but this kid has potential. Wright has good footwork, soft hands, and a soft touch in the paint. This 2020 prospect’s best basketball is definitely a head of him.
