As we prepare for another season, be on the lookout for the upcoming Top 250 Expos in your region. In the mean time, the staff will be hitting you with several preseason nuggets. Who will be the top-five scorers in the city this season? Below are five players who will have a good shot.
QUINCY ALLEN | MARET ’21
There aren’t many players with the blend of size and skill that Allen possesses. He’s able to score in a myriad of ways, and despite the fact that he will draw a ton of attention from opposing teams, Allen should still be able to put up big numbers this season.
RYAN CORNISH | SIDWELL FRIENDS ’21
Sidwell is a defensive minded team, but Cornish will be given plenty of opportunities to put the ball in the basket. He’s one of the best shooters in the area and should be able to convert efficiently while producing consistently.
MICHAEL KATSOCK | ST. ALBANS ’20
Katsock is a dead-eye shooter who will have a ton of responsibility. His improved mid-range pull-up game should come in handy when teams look to run him off the three-point line.
ISHMAEL LEGGETT | ST. JOHN’S ’20
Leggett is a workhorse who doesn’t need many touches to put up huge stats. He can score from second chance points or in transition, but has also steadily improved as a spot up shooter.
TERRANCE WILLIAMS | GONZAGA ’20
Williams is a flat-out matchup problem for any team with his versatile inside-out scoring ability. One thing he does really well is shoot at a high clip. Williams is super efficient and knows how to take what the defense gives him.
