On Thursday, Great Lakes Christian offered the 6’2 wing his first offer. The NCCAA program has been looking around in Indiana this offseason for talent and locked in on the Northwest Indiana scorer.
“It feels really good,” Deck said of his offer. “I feel like it’s only up from here. It’s a blessing to be able to have the opportunity to play college basketball. Hopefully this offer makes more come rolling in. I’ve been through so much the past few years and it’s just a great feeling to get offered. I truly feel like I’m back to 100% and feel like I’m at my best mentally and physically.”
Deck is coming off a knee sprain this Summer and is looking to get back in the groove heading into the high school season. He’s a guy that is going to give you size on the perimeter and quite a bit of shooting. This Spring, he looked great as he was driving and creating more, a big step in his development.
Now, schools are starting to come through more often with their communication. Goshen, Indiana Tech, and IU-Kokomo are a few of the schools showing interest. Lucas says he plans on a visit to Goshen, Great Lakes Christian, and Indiana Tech sometime this Fall.
