Myers are and Coleman are both widely recognized as top 10 talents in the state. Both players have the ability to stretch a defense out and make high IQ plays. Take a look at a breakdown and how to stop these guys.
Jalen Myers: Plays well without the ball. Gets to his spots with ease. Can play inside/out. Improved shot maker from 3. Comfortable attacking in the midrange/out of face ups. Very good rebounder. Good athlete. Has improved consistency and can guard multiple positions.
Defending Jalen Myers: Make him uncomfortable. Be physical with him before he gets into his spots. Make him make shots off the bounce. On post ups, stunt defenders at him when he puts it on the ground. Do not allow him to make plays for others.
Jadan Coleman: Elite 3 point shooter. Improved 3 level scorer. Needs little space and time to get into his shot. Very good out of shot fakes. Moves extremely well without the ball. Sneaky athletic. Improved playmaking. Good positional size.
Defending Jadan Coleman: Get into him defensively. Run him off the 3pt line ,and make him put the ball on the floor. Be physical with Coleman. Do not allow him to get separation on the catch. Do not help off him. Make him battle and be a playmaker vs a scorer.
