Continue ReadingMarcus Sloan of OTR Exposure put on an event with the class of 2021 and 2022 from the Greater Houston Area. This event was an Invite only as some of the Top Prospect from each class participated. Here is a look at my 2021 Second Team members.
Reyce Allen 6’4 F • 2021 • Summer Creek HS (as seen in the picture)
A force down low. Good post moves and bounce. He cleaned house on the glass. Has a good wingspan on him as well and was my fresh face favorite in the gym. Nice soft touch around the rim. Guarded the wing players pretty good and moved his opponent in the paint defensively.
Patrick Punch 6’5 SF • 2021 • Aldine Eisenhower HS PHTX75
Showcased his skills by scoring at all levels on the court. Displayed nice combo dribble moves that kept defenders on their heels. He also displayed his athletic abilities with some acrobatic finishes and one-handed jams. He almost caught a body in the game. He will play a huge role for Eisenhower this year.
Jake Arnold 6’2 SG • 2021 • Katy Taylor HS
Looked really solid as he had to play the point for his team. Looked comfortable running the show for his squad and made the right passes at the right times. He also knocked down some shots from deep his signature game. He opened up some eyes running point though and how he controlled the flow at times.
Brian Gordon 6’0 PG • 2021 • St Johns HS
Quick first step and aggressive on the attack. Has excellent floor vision and was able to get his teammates involved in the game. Shot the ball well from deep also. Played at a very consistent level of play game after game.
Braylon Haynes 6’3 W • 2021 • Cypress Creek HS
Braylon was rim running the whole game. As he is transitioning from a post player to a wing player thanks to his summer team Texas Takeover. He looked good handling the ball on the perimeter and in transition going coast to coast. What really stood out was his ability to protect the rim as he blocked multiple dunk attempts and said I will never get dunked on. Has good timing and was also pulling down boards left and right.
Zach Gonsoulin 6’1 SG • 2021 • Fort Bend Ridge Point HS
In the second game of the event, Zach knocked down 7 trey balls in the game and finished with 30 points. He has a quick release on his jumper. Can shoot while moving, off the dribble, and from a spot-up position. He should have a good season for Ridge Point as they loss both of there scoring leaders from last season who has transferred to other schools.
