I really can’t argue with any of them (they’re all likely going to be really good unless there are some injuries or something else happens) but I’d add there are some more squads that have a chance to make some noise. Here are a few of them:
Sunrise Mountain
This Peoria squad returns three double-digit scorers in Tanner Mayer, Colin Carey and Brandon Taylor, returning as many quality players as just about any team in 5A. The Mustangs will be very long at all positions, which will allow them to switch on defense and cause mis-matches on the offensive end against smaller players.
McClintock
The Chargers will undoubtedly miss many of their quality graduating seniors after making the semifinals in 2019. But, senior Armani Williams is a quality athlete who can score from all parts of the floor, while also rebounding and passing well. He’ll have to take more of a leadership role. Chance Garland also recorded 10 points per game last season, and will look to do more.
Centennial
Another Peoria school on this list, Centennial returns four of its five starters, including leading scorer Malcolm Daniels. He is part of a great senior class that includes quality forward David Teibo and guard JoJo Rincon, who averaged over 5 assists a game last season.
