Isaiah Farrior, Keaton Allen, Spencer Mimms (Rossview) all played this season with Mid-State Elite. In addition to Ametri, these are three players certain to be local scoring leaders. Farrior is a versatile scorer with innate athleticism. Keaton continues to blossom into a consistent deep threat.
Together they won a Silver Bracket out in North Carolina. The team played at an event in Alabama and Arkansas, as well. During a phone call August 11th, PrepHoopsTN and Ametri’s father discussed the summer in more detail.
“He camped with ScoutsFocus and was named (a) top 5 player,” said Ametri’s father Anthony Moss. During that event Moss was a bucket. Defenders ran past him on the pull-ups. He finished in the lane with regularity just like he did in Murfreesboro during another event…
Moss also camped with us (@PrepHoopsTN) back in February. He was a great camper and looked the part of a high school scoring-machine.
Remember Ametri Moss recorded very quick lane agility times of 11.06 and 11.20, utilizing his deceptive quickness. Moss is naturally a scoring guard, but will obviously be forced to acclimate to point guard at his height of 5-foot-10 as of Feb. 2019.
“His high school team went to Bryan (College),” said Mr. @Anthony92343586 Moss of Ametri’s June travels. “They won 6 of 8.”
Ametri Moss was interviewed back in January for a short time. The major takeaway last year was that Ametri was gaining notoriety in Clarksville with high-scoring nights. Strengths of his game were and are lower body balance, shooting touch, and a knack for changing speeds with the dribble. Moss creates his own separation.
