Athleticism is the general theme of Ohio's 2022 batch of small forwards.

There is plenty that still needs to be learned about the class at this early stage. Similarly, development on the players' parts to be had.

[no. 17] Evan Mahaffey | 6-4 SF | Moeller / Apex

The Cincinnati Northwest transfer is poised to become an immediate contributor for the two-time defending State Champions. For a Moeller sophomore, that's says a lot in itself. In June, he provided energy off the bench. Possesses tools to defend multiple positions and rebound. Wiry and athletic. Can handle the ball and get to the rack on straight-line-drives.

[no. 24] Aboubacar Cisse | 6-4 SF | Western Hills / C2K Elite

Physical and athletic slasher with a strong frame. Cisse scores at will in the paint, often using spin moves and other powerful gathers before dropping a layup in. Versatile defender. Plus rebounder who can push pace off the defensive glass.

[no. 25] Jacob Conner |
