[no. 1] Chris Livingston | 6-5 SG | Buchtel / We All Can Go 16U
The kid from Akron earned MVP of the 2019 FIBA Americas 16U Championship this summer, continuing to cement himself among the nation’s finest. Not only did Livingston average nearly 15 points and eight rebounds during international play, Team USA head coach Mike Jones complimented his motor and contagious energy at the event.
All of that was coming off a trip to the Division II State Tournament, where Livingston averaged 24 points and helped the Griffs knock off VASJ in the regional finals.
[no. 8] Bowen Hardman | 6-4 SG | Princeton / All Ohio Red
Elite shooter with a killer one-dribble pull-up game and deep range. Pulls up with great balance and rhythm. Hardman often separates because of how hard defenders close-out on his 3-pointer. High-major ceiling.
Ohio and Xavier offered.
[no. 13] Jared Frey | 6-4 SG | St. Charles / All Ohio Red
Skilled scorer who can create for others and pull-up from distance. Frey puts a lot of pressure on defenses as a primary ball-handler because of his prowess as a 3-point shooter and post entry passer. Aggressive shooter. Creates space with step backs. Adding more fuel to his defensive motor is the next step — when he’s locked in, Frey shows the ability to stay in front on the wing.
Ohio offered.
[no. 16] Jalen Wenger | 6-4 SG | Dalton
Crafty wing scorer with terrific positional size and a jumper. Wenger averaged 16.7 points and 6.7 rebounds as a freshman and brought his A-game to the OHSBCA Showcase. Scores it efficiently and is comfortable shooting with motion.
[no. 18] Roderick Coffee | 6-3 SG | Harvey / Ohio Basketball Club
Productive scorer who provides floor spacing with his outside shot. Coffee can also put it on the floor and create space for a pull-up. Fundamentally sound player.
UT Martin and Youngstown State offered.
[no. 21] Ramar Pryor | 6-1 SG | St. Vincent-St. Mary / Ohio Basketball Club
Dynamic athlete with burning speed and finishing ability. Blow-by ability, including a strong body that small guards bounce off of. Very effective in transition. His athleticism is an asset defensively, where he can apply pressure.
[no. 27] Chance Davis | 6-4 SG | Aiken / Apex
It’s been months since I’ve personally watched Davis, but here’s an excerpt from Prep Hoops Texas writer Geoffrey Day in April at the adidas Gauntlet:
“He is a good on-ball and off-ball defender. Has excellent lateral movement. He was able to guard the smaller guards as well as the bigger opponents. Long and athletic wing with a long wingspan. Had 5 blocked shots and 3 steals in each games on Saturday. They say defense is becoming a lost art, however this prospect takes pride in defense. His defensive motor is excellent and will make him a great addition in the future for any collegiate program.”
[no. 35] Quinn Corna | 6-3 SG | Upper Arlington / Nova (Reese)
You can throw the ball to Corna on the wing and he will get you a bucket. Combines tremendous skill with height and athleticism to be effective from all three levels. Attacks the basket well with use of a ball screen. Corna also scores at the cup in transition, often using elusive gathers at the rim to finish the job. Capable outside shooter.
[no. 38] Camren Miles | 6-1 SG | Lima Senior / C2K Elite
Strong-bodied and athletic slasher who uses a jab step to get defenders off-balance. Finishes through traffic. Shoots it well off the catch. Plus rebounder who can defend a multitude of wings and guards.
[no. 41] Dylan Thompson | 6-2 SG | Buckeye Valley / JH1 Elite
Productive two-way player who cuts off drives after a dribble or two because of his lateral quickness. Conversely, Thompson is very good pulling up after a dribble, even against the contest. Good shooter. Quick and fast. Good motor.
[no. 46] Cameron Smith | 6-2 SG | Centerville / Team Flyght
Athletic outside shooting threat. Uses hesitations and an effective shot fake from 3-point range to get to the basket for floaters. Wants to push pace. Big enough to defend the wing and power through contact as a ball-handler in tight spaces.
[no. 50] Elmore James | 6-0 SG | Brush / Ohio Basketball Club
Powerful guard with a compact build and a profound physique. James is an impact defensive force who has great quickness and defends with his chest. Rebounds well. Finishes through contact. High release point on his jumper and he pulls it unusually far behind is head.
[no. 51] Ben Morrison | 6-2 SG | Rossford / All Ohio Turf
Quick and unselfish wing who consistently makes good decisions and provides scoring. Morrison can efficiently score it with few dribbles. Shoots it very well. Could progress into more of a primary ball-handler.
[no. 56] Logan Woods | 6-1 SG | Cincinnati Christian / C2K Elite
Elusive slasher with a knack for getting to the basket. Scores it from challenging angles. Quick off the bounce. Flashes drive-and-kick prowess and may turn into a point guard.
[no. 57] Dietric Hearst | 6-2 SG | Benedictine / Hoop City Ohio
Power slasher who shows skill on finishes in traffic. To get space for a layup, Hearst uses spin moves and jump stops that capitalize on his strength advantage. Capable shooter. Plus rebounder. Defends forwards, too.
[no. 61] Tegan Myers | 6-0 SG | Logan / Mid Ohio Pumas (Sheldon)
Highly skilled scorer. Myers uses footwork to finish while showing grit around the basket. Shoots it with range off the catch when he’s not slashing past a defender. Effective in transition.
[no. 62] Lason Walker | 6-2 SG | Linden-McKinley / JH1 Elite
Slashing scorer with great body control in traffic and some athleticism. Walker handles the ball with pace. Gets to the rim with hesitations and power.
